Echinodorus rose

Echinodorus ‘Rosé’ is a rosette plant in Tropica’s Easy category and comes supplied in pots. It grows up to 40cm tall and 25cm wide making it an ideal background plant for most aquariums. It is grown in Tropica’s greenhouses hydroponically and transforms in colour once adapted to its underwater form. New leaves can turn a beautiful pink colour, as well as having a red-brown coloured spots soon after. Under more intense light the colours are more pronounced. Like all Echinodorus species it appreciates a nutrient-rich substrate but otherwise is very undemanding making it an ideal choice for all experience levels of hobbyist.

Prepating the plant

1. Remove the plant from the pot then split apart the two halves of rock wool
2. Remove as much of the rock wool as possible.
3. Split the plant into several portions
4. Plant into your substrate with aquascaping tweezers.
